At 3 and 5, my boys are getting to that stage of enjoying family movies and not just cartoons. Don’t get me wrong, they still love their Disney Jr., but they can now enjoy family-friendly movies as well, rather than just the toddler stuff.  One of our favorite things to do for family night is what we call Pizza Night. We’ll have pizza (either Pizza Hut or homemade), and find a good family-friendly movie to watch while we eat in the living room.  Since we usually always eat dinner at the table, it’s a fun treat for our family.

So, I’m always on the look out for family-friendly movies.  Space Warriors premiered on the Hallmark Channel on May 31st.  I haven’t seen it yet (we were out of town that week), but I’m excited to watch it.  Here’s a bit of info about the movie:

Walden Family Theater is proud to announce Space Warriors

In Space Warriors, six highly skilled teenagers are handpicked to be part of a summer space camp competition but they don’t realize that they will be forced to solve a life or death crisis aboard the International Space Station as the world anxiously watches. With an all-star cast, this movie is sure to thrill and inspire.

Check out the Space Warriors App below for more fun stuff, like a space quiz and viewing guide. You can also check out the movie on Amazon and pre-order it for $19.99.

Looks great! In this day and age it’s getting harder and harder to find movies that are family friendly. I would love to be considered for this one. i haven’t seen it either.

One of our favorite at home nights is putting on music & having dance contests :) We also love Movie Night since we don’t have cable we don’t watch a whole lot of tv so movie night is definitely special! With three kids ranging in age from 3-13 it can be difficult to find a movie we’ll all enjoy. This one sounds perfect! :) Thanks for the fun contest!

Stephanie, that sound so fun! Reminds me of something my boys thought up one time. And, yes it is difficult to find a movie the whole family can enjoy. Thanks for participating.

Count me in! I love doing movies that somehow have theme for my kiddos. I try to do supper and a snack that go along with the movie. They love it.

Oh, that’s so fun! We should do a theme night…this one would be perfect for it too! You’ve just given me inspiration for something to do w/ the kids while their daddy is on a mission trip for a week in July :)

I love to hear your feedback and value your thoughts! All I ask is that we remain respectful and civil, even when we disagree. Thanks so much for reading. I appreciate you!
