This is a fun and simple dessert. It requires no baking, and you can throw it together in less than 5 minutes. It’s fun for kids, and somewhat light as far as desserts go. It’s perfect for summer picnics and potlucks!
What You Need:
1 angel food cake
2 (8 oz.) tubs cool whip
What to do:
1. Cut up the angel food cake into cubes and toss them with 1 tub of cool whip. Spread them into your dish, as evenly as possible
2. Spread second tub of cool whip over the top.
3. Arrange strawberries and blueberries into the shape of a flag.
4. Serve with additional strawberries and blueberries.
I made this one in a pyrex baking dish. I have also made this dessert trifle-style (layered in a large bowl), and it’s easier to incorporate more fruit that way. But, the flag look is fun for Independence Day events, and my boys liked that.
