Independence Day Flag Dessert

Easy, No-Bake Flag Dessert! Just need angel food cake, cool whip, strawberries, and blueberries! Super fast and perfect for picnics and potlucks. Plus, it's fun for the kids!

This is a fun and simple dessert. It requires no baking, and you can throw it together in less than 5 minutes. It’s fun for kids, and somewhat light as far as desserts go. It’s perfect for summer picnics and potlucks!

What You Need:

1 angel food cake
2 (8 oz.) tubs cool whip

What to do:

1. Cut up the angel food cake into cubes and toss them with 1 tub of cool whip.  Spread them into your dish, as evenly as possible
2. Spread second tub of cool whip over the top.
3. Arrange strawberries and blueberries into the shape of a flag.
4. Serve with additional strawberries and blueberries.

I made this one in a pyrex baking dishI have also made this dessert trifle-style (layered in a large bowl), and it’s easier to incorporate more fruit that way. But, the flag look is fun for Independence Day events, and my boys liked that.

This is my kind of summer dessert! Easy, a few ingredients, and lots of cool whip… wonderful!
Crystal, I want to thank you for your precious prayer. I’ve read it several times… It means so much.

I made one of these, too! But I did it for Flag Day back in June, and I used chocolate cake (why not!) and vanilla icing. Yum! It was fun, and hopefully, the beginning of a tradition.
