Gift Ideas for the Homeschool Mom

It’s the time of year when we’re thinking about gifts…at least we procrastinators are still thinking about gifts! lol. So, I thought I would put together a list of suggested gifts for the homeschool mom. Just call it a wishlist of sorts. Many of them would also be great for a stay-at-home mom of preschoolers (even if she isn’t homeschooling). Also, these ideas aren’t just for Christmas. Think mother’s day, birthdays, just-to-say-I-love-you. This list is great all year long :) So here are my gift ideas, in no particular order.

1. A Night Out

Date Night

My husband and I enjoying a date night out!

Most homeschoolers are probably single-income families and on a tight budget.  In addition, most homeschoolers (and stay-at-home moms of littles), have very little adult contact!  A $25 gift card to a sit-down restaurant, along with an offer to babysit for a few hours so they can have a date night will go far.

2. A Good Planner

Well Planned Day Planner

I love my well-planned day planner!  It’s great for helping me organize my home, family, school, and even blogging. I know most of the world has moved on to digital planners, but I still love my pen and paper! You can see my full review of the well planned day planner, here.  PS–right now, you can get the planner for a great discount since we’re halfway through the year. Help your homeschool mom start fresh for the spring semester!

3. DaySpring Gifts.

DaySpring Gifts

It’s no secret that I LOVE Dayspring! (check out my list of $5 gifts from Dayspring!) I love practical, but if the family is on a tight budget, then mom probably isn’t splurging much for herself. This necklace was high on my list of wishes this year. sometimes, homeschooling can be disheartening. It’s really nice to have this reminder of that It is Well! No matter how tough the day is, Jesus is on the Throne and it is well with my soul. This is also a subtle reminder to me of my “why” in homeschooling.

4. Registration to a Homeschool Convention

GHC Registration

I’ve mentioned before about how blessed I was by the homeschooling convention that our family attended last year.  It was inspiring, motivating, and like a breath of fresh air in the midst of the year. It’s such a rejuvenating and beneficial time. There are some great speakers slated for the Great Homeschool Conventions locations this year, including my favorite Heidi St. John, and comedian Mark Lowry (who wrote the song, “Mary, Did you know?”).

5. Gift Cards.

Okay, this isn’t my top pick, but sometimes it’s a good option-Amazon, a local coffee shop or restaurant, curriculum store, etc.

What would you add to the list? If you’re a homeschool mom, what’s on your wishlist?

I love to hear your feedback and value your thoughts! All I ask is that we remain respectful and civil, even when we disagree. Thanks so much for reading. I appreciate you!
