Brand New Hillsong United Album {With Giveaway!}

united empires

I’ve shared before that one of the things I do to make cleaning and housework more enjoyable is to listen to some good music. I especially love to listen to hymns or praise music. Hillsong United is one of my favorites, so I was very glad to get the opportunity to preview their brand new album, Empires, before it was available for purchase!

About Empires

This CD features more of the praise and worship music that we’ve come to love and expect from Hillsong United.

My personal favorite so far on this CD is “Even When It Hurts (Praise Song).” It is a beautiful song about bringing a sacrifice of praise to the Lord regardless of what you’re going through. As someone who struggles with depression, this is something that I can relate to. Trusting the Lord and seeking His face and praising Him even when it hurts…and He will sustain.

His grace is sufficient and He will sustain you through whatever you’re going through.

    I love Hillsong! My daughter and I love to clean as well when we have great music to listen to. It makes it so much easier! It is great to be able to clean and worship the Lord at the same time!

    Touch the Sky – it just speaks to my tired, lonely, soul – “Come sweep me up in Your love again” gives me the knowledge that I still am loved and am a part of the Bride of Christ.

    We often clean and do work listening to Hillsong as well! It has been a joy to listen to my two young boys singing their famous Hillsong songs. The recent favorite has been "Forever Reign"

    What a great way to incorporate worship while you’re around the house; putting God first even in your busy -ness! I need to do this more. Thank you for the encouragement.

    I LOVE Hillsong! There have been several songs that I have repeatedly listened to during stressful times in my life and they just comforted and encouraged my heart, mind and soul! My most recent favorite was Oceans, because it came out the summer after my brother committed suicide. It was a wonderful reminder that though I did not choose this path for my family, that God was going to walk with me through those hard times. I had many doubts and fears, and it was wonderful to sing those lyrics and claim that I would surrender everything… doubts, fears, worries, and more to Him and trust Him in that tough time.

    Two months ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety and Depression. It’s been a long hard road for me, and I do struggle with doubt sometimes, and question God and ask Him WHY He made me broken. But I am getting tested for Pyroluria and other metabolic conditions, and it’s been comforting to finally have some hope that I might have more answers to the real cause of my various health issues, and it’s been awesome to pray and ask God for help the last several months, and see Him answer so quickly… with bringing me to the right Christian psychologist that was in network, to now finding several Functional Medicine providers that are also in network and don’t just treat the symptoms, but look at the whole body and also see how nutrition and various metabolic conditions and nutrition deficiencies affect the whole body too, and true healing often requires more than just a pill, but also nutritional supplements in the right form. I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety my whole life, and I feel like I finally am getting some answers.

    All that to say… winning this Hillsong album would be encouraging and comforting, and it would be awesome to listen to it, especially during those tough moments where my brain is lying to me. Being reminded of God’s promises and truths in those moments are so powerful!
