The key to healthier eating + Join me in this free challenge

One of my main goals moving into 2018 is to focus on my health. This encompasses several things that I have learned from The Paleo Approach and The Autoimmune Wellness Handbook, and my rheumatologist.

The main thing, though, is diet. I need to stick consistently to an anti-inflammatory diet (similar to paleo), permanently removing certain things.

It has been difficult for me to consistently stick to this diet. Between my ongoing emotional issues with food, and all the 3x-a-day work involved with cooking everything from scratch with no convenience foods to fall back on, it’s hard.

I have noticed certain triggers that seem to knock me off course, and am working on ways to plan ahead to stay on track in the midst of those things, but the absolute most important arsenal in my toolbox is meal planning.

Meal Planning Benefits for Everyone

Maybe you don’t have the need for such a restricted diet, but I believe most everyone can benefit from meal planning. Even if you aren’t a planner by nature, you can make it fit your personality so that you get the benefits of meal planning without feeling the need to plan every single meal.

  • Save money. Planning ahead helps you save money by reducing waste, and helping you to prepare for your schedule so that you’re not left eating out or grabbing expensive and unhealthy convenience foods.
  • Save time and reduce stress. Meal planning helps to save time, and reduce stress in the kitchen. It prevents that last minute scurrying around and not having the answer to the question “What’s for dinner?” It brings more peace into your meal times.
  • Eat healthier. When you have a plan, it’s easier to eat healthier.

Join Me in a Meal Planning Challenge

To get a jump start on the new year, I’m participating in a 10-day meal planning challenge. Whether you’re a meal planning veteran or just getting started, I think we can all benefit from the challenge, and it’s completely free.

The only catch is that the 10 day challenge starts Dec 30, so we can only accept registrations through 12/28, so be sure to sign up now if you think you might be interested–don’t miss out.

I love to hear your feedback and value your thoughts! All I ask is that we remain respectful and civil, even when we disagree. Thanks so much for reading. I appreciate you!

Thank you for joining in the discussion!
