Thriving Thursday 1/22/2015

As some of you have noticed, I’ve been having intermittent problems with my site :( It has been very frustrating and I, unfortunately, havent had the time or energy to deal with it right now. What I can tell you is that if you keep trying, it will work, it’s a complex problem that I haven’t been able to figure out yet.

And part of the reason I haven’t been able to figure it out yet is because…

We’re Moving!

No, we aren’t getting our little dream house and homestead of our own just yet, it is another rental…but we are going to be in the country! It is an old farmhouse,  even smaller than the small house we live in now, but we are all so excited about it! We’ve had a trying time of it the last week or so working to get things scrubbed up (it was awful!), fixed up, etc. So many things have gone wrong that I feel like we should be in a slapstick comedy or something. But at the same time, the Lord has showered us with so many blessings! I hope I will be able to share some of the things with you soon, but for now I will leave you with a photo of what will be our new home.

We are pretty much finished with the cleaning and fixing up and now we just need to get all of our stuff packed up, moved in, and then get settled in the new place…so we’ll be in for a busy couple of weeks.

I also wanted to remind you to check out my brand new book, the Homemaker’s Quiet Time Journal.I haven’t been able to promote much due to all the busyness of real life, but I hope you will check it out–and share it with anyone who might be interested in a printable quiet time journal :) It is my prayer that this book will help women get the one thing that can truly change their lives–more time in God’s word!

What have you been up to this week?

There were so many FANTASTIC posts linked up last week and I can’t wait to see what you ladies have to share this week :)

Thriving Thursdays Link Up!!!

Thriving Thursdays is a link up for family-friendly bloggers, who are choosing to THRIVE in their lives. It’s a place for us to encourage and inspire one another to live life to the fullest–in Jesus Christ. Link up your posts about thriving–in marriage, faith, parenting, homemaking, relationships, in the kitchen, in frugality.

Everything we do can be a ministry and worship to our Lord. Link up as many posts as you want, and I hope that you’ll take the time to visit some other participants as well.

I am so blessed by the posts you all share! I really look forward to seeing all of the encouragement shared here each week. Keep it coming! Sometimes I highlight posts here, and I also pin my favorites to the Thriving Thursdays Pinterest Board.

What a wonderful looking house, I hope and pray everything will go well with the actual moving in. Thanks for hosting a great link up. Blessings

Thanks, Tanya! We’re excited about it…although I think we passed up the stress-free option on the first day! lol. We moved across the state 2.5 years ago, but somehow I managed to block out how much work is involved! lol

How exciting about your new home, you're gonna LOVE it! Today I’m sharing posts on what to do when financial times turn tough unexpectedly; A list of 3 favored home-finance books in my own bookshelf right now; and how to build a composting bed right in your veggie garden. Love the hop, thanks for hosting!

I know how stressful moving can be! Your house looks cute, and I’m sure once you are all moved in it will feel like home. Thank you so much for hosting this link-up every week. I really enjoy coming and linking up my posts and it’s a blessing to get more traffic to my blog. I want to help you out since you do this every week, so I am going to promote your prayer journal on my FB at and my twitter at . I am a new blogger and don’t have a ton of followers, so not sure how much it will help but hopefully some. See you next week!

I love to hear your feedback and value your thoughts! All I ask is that we remain respectful and civil, even when we disagree. Thanks so much for reading. I appreciate you!

Thank you for joining in the discussion!
